What makes diet Alkaline?

An alkaline diet balances the pH level of the fluids in body, including blood and urine. Our pH is partially determined by the mineral density of the foods we eat.
Our body is slightly alkaline in nature with pH of 7.4. Maintaining appropriate pH levels is important otherwise anything that alters the pH will make the body immune defense go down & open up the door for diseases . The closer you are to 0, the more acidic a food is consumed. Consuming/eating good fats like Nuts, wheat, Avocado etc. increases the pH of the body.
Researches puts it, our body has different pH levels depending   on the time of day what you last ate and when you last went to the bathroom. If you develop electrolyte imbalances and frequently consume too many acidic foods body’s changing pH level can result in increased “acidosis” which can lead to heart disease, general joint pain, diabetes, cancer, depression etc.
Our body is capable of maintaining an acid-alkaline balance provided that the organs are functioning properly, and well-balanced alkaline diet is being consumed, other acid-producing factors, such as tobacco use, are avoided.

Examples of Alkaline Vegetables: Beets, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber,  Lettuce, Onions, Peas, Peppers, Spinach.
